RE: A Month in Ireland!

Bob,

Beaghmore has been in my thoughts for years! The nearest we have been is Armagh (and Emain Macha), then on to Omagh, and the Northwest.  An Creagan looks very interesting, you are aware of my ancient interests! We did go to Beltany Stone Circle outside Raphoe in Donegal.  It was a difficult place to find, in the pouring rain, I might add! Trudged up an old road and into sheep land.   But the circle was worth it.  Those two you mentioned are on my list for our next trip.  I must be a little daft--planning the next trip and we haven't even gone on this one!  Daft, or thinking we are rich.

Corey,  Have heard of Anthony Sheehy's tours, perhaps from you, so have that in my mind to find him for the tour.  Read that he lives "down the road", and is always eager to go!  Hopefully, he will be around.  We were there years ago, but just breezed thru the Friary, but I still have that picture of Askeaton in my mind..

One MORE option to drive you crazy before you leave. biggrin
It LOOKS a bit out-of-date, but very interesting, nevertheless, given your penchance for touring ancient sites:

Stop, Bob, you are killing me!!!  How did I miss all those ancient sights.  People are always saying to me, " Haven't you seen everything in Ireland?" This only proves the fact that there are more places to see in Ireland than the "touristy" ones.  I shall print out the website, and take it with. Maybe there will be 30+ hours in a day over there, instead of 24!

Helen
